applications

When a young person submits an application for on-going financial assistance, you must ensure you receive the correct information and note the date you receive it.

request for financial assistance

When a young person makes contact with you to request on-going financial assistance, the date of first contact must be recorded. This can be in ART or a date stamp on the application form.

application forms

The ways we accept an application include (but are not limited to):

  • an online application
  • a paper application form
  • an editable PDF completed by the youth coach attached to an email (you must ensure the text in the form is readable).

Note: some applications for assistance are completed by Youth Coaches via ART Hardship tasks.

when an application should be lapsed

The young person has 20 working days to complete the application process. If the young person does not complete the application process, their request for financial assistance is generally lapsed on the 21st working day.

outcome

You must advise the young person of the outcome of their application and explain their obligations, ensuring they understand them.
