Youth Coaches provide a mentoring and wrap around intensive support service to young people.
When working with new clients take note that:
The mentoring and wrap around intensive support will contribute to the improved well-being of the young person to achieve positive outcomes.
Youth Service providers are the primary contact for young people who enrol in the service. The Youth Service Support Unit provides administrative support to Youth Service providers. Work and Income have no direct contact with young people as a result of enrolment in the NEET service.
The NEET service is voluntary. Once enrolled, they can stop participating in the service at any time.
The young person must consent to the information sharing required to deliver the service. They must sign a consent form to participate.
Young people will be assigned a Service Level Intensity rating which will determine:
- if they are in the target group for the NEET service
- the level of service appropriate for their circumstances.
