When a young person applies for financial assistance or has a change in their IR number, you can accept and record verbal evidence of their IR number.
Young people are asked for their IR number in their application, so if they provide paper or digital evidence of this, you can still sight and record the information provided on the young person's ART profile.
ways we can accept verification of ir number
Online
- Email – you must copy the full email, including the sender, receiver, date and time details, onto the client's file.
Face to face
- Provide evidence at a meeting with a Youth Service provider or local Work and Income office.
