Welcome to the Youth Service NEET service.

If you're not familiar with ART, please complete the ART learning module first.

Now you know how young people are enrolled into your service, and how they meet the eligibility criteria of Youth Service NEET. Next we are going to look at recording information in ART.
Having needs, activities, and notes recorded in ART (Activity Reporting Tool) correctly ensures the all of the young person's information is captured, and we can report on aspects of our service accurately to make recommendations.
Young people can request a copy of their record under the Official Information Act 1982 or the Privacy Act 1993.

success and milestones
This course is designed to give you an overview of milestones. There are two types of milestones that we will cover in this module. We will cover how they are achieved and how to record them in ART.
For our young people a milestone is a significant stage or event in the development of something. Specific Youth Service Milestones are recorded in ART under the milestone tab in the overview screen.
For our providers a milestone represents a payment for the young person achieving a specific achievement in the employment and LSV space.

As a youth coach, you will use ART (the Activity Reporting Tool) to record information about taiohi. It's important to record information accurately and in a timely manner.
Recording and updating the ART profile of a taiohi is important not only for you, but also for the Ministry of Social Development (MSD).
MSD uses the information that you put into ART to monitor and report on the activities and outcomes for Youth Service, plan future work, and identify training needs.

For some young people, leaving Youth Service isn’t easy for them. You can help our young people prepare for the changes ahead by taking action early and supporting them towards their next destination.
In this module, you will learn about supporting young people who are exiting Youth Service. By the end of this module you will know how to:
plan ahead for when a young person leaves youth service — and understand why early planning matters
identify the common reasons young people exit, and the support options available to them
identify what tasks need to be completed when a young person exits youth service
